The teaching is informal at the Infant Wing with special emphasis on the development of the psycho-motor skills of the toddlers. We encourage the play way approach to learning and hence all the activities are carried out in a pleasurable and child-centered situation. The school has a well equipped play-cum-activity room to explore their creative skills.
A faculty of specially trained teachers including a care-taker carries out the curriculum of the Infant Wing.
The Primary, Middle & Secondary The school follows a holistic academic curriculum with English, Hindi, Bodhik (Mother Tongue), Mathematics, General Science and Social Science as the core subjects. Subjects like Computer Science, Physical Education, Dhamma (Moral Education based on the teachings of Lord Buddha), General Knowledge, Music, Dance and Art & Craft are also integrated in the curriculum in a well-balance and stress-free manner to ensure all round personality development of the students. Adequate time is also allocated for the library period to encourage reading habits of the children.
Mode of Evaluation and Assessment
The school has adopted the Evaluation and Assessment pattern as provided by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the recent Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) scheme. As per this scheme, Class I to V are assessed and evaluated by the grading system for all subjects where as class VI onwards are introduced to the examination system in the form of Formative (FA) and Summative Assessments (SA).
The school has five visually challenged students are studying with their sighted peers in the main stream. A special educator is employed to provide additional help to these special children at the school as well as the hostel. Gifted and special-need children are identified and groomed accordingly with an objective to make them reach higher levels. We also provide remedial classes for children who require additional assistance in their academic growth.
